It *kinda* depends on your situation, in this case compressor.
Compressor is MUCH more efficient but is larger and produces some noise (think of your fridge turning on/off). Peltier is wildly inefficient but can be very small and very quiet (some have a fan to cool off the hot side).

Not Peltier. Just get a cooler and some ice lacks, the energy investment for thermoelectric cooling is more of a party trick than a useful method for average consumers. See the following https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CnMRePtHMZY

My favorite part is where the picture that says it holds 24 cans shows 30 cans in it 😂

That is about 1 ft x 1 ft. You can put a few sandwiches and 2 drinks.

I've been looking at a bougerv ones for around $150. I'd prefer dual zone one but much more expensive. Does anyone use these for bedroom fridge or it would be too loud?

I would rather spend this money on a high-end cooler. The cooler is an investment. This machine will eventually break, and be unreparable. You're not going to find an appliance tech who knows how to work on this, nor will replacement parts be available. A yeti tundra or Ninja Frostvault has no machine parts you have to worry about breaking, and would be a lifetime product.

I have the BougeRV 12V 23 quart model. It isn't silent, but it isn't as loud as I expected. Closest thing I can think of is about the volume of a countertop microwave while running. I've taken it camping several times and it is impressive. It keeps raw meat safely cold, ice cream frozen when set to 15-20 degrees, and will cool down room temperature drinks to refrigerated temperature in about 3-6 hours, depending on how many you put in it.
I use a cheap 24-hour digital thermometer from Menards that tells me the highest and lowest temp over the previous 24 hours to ensure safety with raw meats. Usually the cooler keeps things a little colder than the set temperature, and it's never more than 2-3 degree variation over a day.
I've paired it with a portable battery "generator" (mine is an off-brand, but it's like a Jackery or EcoFlow), and it works great plugged into the 12 V outlet from that device. My BougeRV can run in freezer mode for more than a day, even on a hot South Dakota summer day, outdoors on a single charge with my generator / battery. If I leave the car, I snake the cord out of the trunk from the battery and put the cooler outside next to the car in its shade, then plug it in. I guess someone could mess with the cooler or the food, but I've never run into that problem at national or state parks.
I've also used it occasionally when we overbuy groceries and can't fit them in the refrigerator or freezer at home, and it works just fine indoors on 120V with the adapter for many weeks in a row as a secondary refrigerator / freezer.
