Wrong. But your area may differ, but the general rule is OSHA/NFPA calls anything up to 60 gallons a "container" for flammable liquids. Federally its a "non-bulk package" Anything ≤119 gallons per container. You can usually transport fuel in containers up to 119 gallons each and stay in the "non-bulk" category.

1.
OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1926.152(a)(1) "Only approved containers and portable tanks shall be used for storage and handling of flammable and combustible liquids. "

2. I didn't say anything about OSHA. In my state, and many states but maybe not all, it's not legal to dispense gasoline into non approved containers. There are signs posted at every gas station. this might not be true where you live. doesn't make it smart/safe though.

3. You do you though 👍.

Bought this unit 5+ years ago and it has served us well. The only complaint have been revised in this version. The big wheels were air filled rather than solid so they were not able to hold up to the weight. The front had pads instead of wheels. The rest is the same. I paid more than this sale price so this is an amazing price.

When fueled up, it is EXTREMELY HEAVY. About 250lbs so it become very complicated to load/unload unless you have a smooth ramp. I took the wheels off and bolted it onto a metal pallet so that it can be forklifted on/off a pickup truck.

Argument about it being possibly unsafe:
Having driven many cars with custom made fuel tanks, I don't see how I this can be dangerous unless handled improperly- like not tying it down correctly during transport to/from gas station.
