$27 on Amazon. I honestly don't need an RGB mat, but I do need a new desk mat, so I'm gonna give it a go. Amazon reviews list a lot of people saying the lights die within 6 months-1 year.. Hopefully it lasts a bit longer, but for $20 I can't complain too much since the normal non-RGB ones are also $15-20.

Mine has lasted almost 5 years with no issues, other than getting some minor worn spots. If you aren't careful, though, the LEDs on the edges are fragile enough to get crushed; that's probably the issue in some cases.

It wants to... I have this plugged into a power brick rather than the PC because of that. You can't change the colors on it without their software but it will light up white/light blue on it's own.

I bought a pair of these 6 months ago from woot. Turns out you can't have 2 on the same account. They are named the same so the programming fails and causes them to go back to the default rainbow vomit color wave.

Mine did not - if you don't, it will just cycle through the colors.

Bought mine back in January and it's still working well.
