Such a different movie vs theatrical. Theatrical is completely butchered and missing tons of important plot points. Director's Cut is pretty epic.

100%%% Some director cuts add a bunch of fluff. This cut turns a so so movie into a great movie! Cool

Theres nothing on the AppleTV link that indicates its the Director's Cut or includes the Director's Cut. The Run Time listed is 2hrs 25mins, inline with the regular theatrical version. Has anyone bought the AppleTV version and confirmed?

I'm familiar with the director's cut, but what is the "roadshow version"?

woot If you like this type of movie, I am pretty confident you will love the movie! I have probably watched this movie 3 times in total. The first watch was the theatrical and while I liked it always felt there was a lot missing. The development of characters and story is much better in the director's cut. IMO. Cool

Haven't bought, but agree with your observations - Amazon and VUDU are directors cuts (3hrs 14mins) - AppleTV is only offering 2hr 25min version at this price. No Directors/Roadshow cut on AppleTV.

One of my favorite movies. The Roadshow version is what the Theatrical version should've been.

The roadshow version is the same as the director's cut, but also includes the overture and intermission. I have the director's cut Blu-ray and it has neither of these, just a straight shot, long movie (awesome).
