Wouldn't buy this. You want an air fryer with a powerful fan on the top that sucks the air through the food. You don't want an air fryer with a fan in the rear

Thank you for this comment, just cancelled my order. I liked the window on top but this makes sense to me.

Found a review on youtube and it actually looks pretty good. Rear fan didn't seem to be an issue in the tests, and the window/light setup is pretty nice. Check it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8oqjstcgL7I

Basket air fryers are old tech and rather limiting. You're much better off spending a little more on an air fryer oven. Not needing to get up and flip the food halfway through the cooking process is worth the extra money all by itself.
There's a trade off. Air fryer ovens can't get food as crispy as basket fryers. It's like that saying, jack-of-all-trades, master of none. It's all up to what's important to you.

Mine does a pretty good job as it has adjustable heating elements on both the top and bottom, but I agree that what you are saying is true for the most part.

He's exactly right. Me and my mom has used both and the air fryer ovens just doesn't do as good of a job as a dedicated air fryer. Also you have a much larger chamber to heat up in an oven so you're wasting a lot of electricity in that concept especially when you're doing a smaller portion.

There is also the energy usage and heating time to take into account. A 10 qt air fryer can reach max temp in less than 2 minutes while an air fry oven is going to take at least 5 and it is using way more energy to do it. If you have a 5 cu ft capacity air fry oven that is 150 qt equivalent so it is heating up 15 times the amount of space that a 10 qt countertop model will. While air fry ovens can be useful tools counter top fryers have their use cases as well. (It's also why toaster ovens exist)

I recently returned a similar Gourmia air fryer because the tray started to flake off. This was likely due to the need to scrub the tray to remove the food that can get stuck on the grooves and crevices. People mentioning buying air fryer liners but that seems counterintuitive.

Stick a built in temp. probe and I think it would sell. Most meats have a sweet spot temp. AFs are easy to blow right past those temps. They make units already with probes, but you have to monitor the unit unless the unit has a beeper.
