About this Collection:
  • 1715 - The Golden Age of Piracy. New Providence Island is a lawless territory, controlled by history's most notorious pirate captains. The most feared is Captain Flint. As the British Navy returns to redeem their land and exterminate Flint and his crew, another side of him emerges. He allies himself with Eleanor Guthrie, daughter of the local kingpin, to hunt the ultimate prize and ensure their survival. Many opponents stand in their way - rival captains, jealous of Flint's power, Eleanor's ambitious and intrusive father, and a young sailor recently recruited onto Flint's crew, John Silver, who constantly undermines his captain's agenda.
  • A generation before the events of "Treasure Island," Captain Flint (Toby Stephens) sought to maintain his grip of terror over the West Indies, while contending with the rallying British fleet, resentful rival buccaneers, and the hidden agenda of calculating new crewman John Silver (Luke Arnold). Ambitious swashbuckling series from Starz also stars Hannah New, Zach McGowan, Jessica Parker Kennedy, Sean Cameron Michael. 8 episodes on 12 discs. Widescreen; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital 5.1; Subtitles: English (SDH), Spanish

Excellent show. It's basically Game of Thrones: Pirates and ended on a high note instead of well, you know. They really don't make them like this anymore.

I picked this up blindly for $13 when Big Lots was closing and glad I did. But this is the lowest price on Amazon in 3 years. I thought it was a good show but who am I to rate a show for you. It has an 8.2 on IMDB and 7.8 on blu-ray.com. First season has 8 episodes, 2nd-4th have 10, so 38 total for about 36 hours of runtime!

Another fan of this show. Love how it ties real and fictional characters together in one story.

Another + vote for a great show. If you're on the fence, there are a lot of hot women in the cast

Nice to see digital included. Seems rare for TV shows to include a digital copy. Thanks OP!

I'm trying to get into this show. I've seen the first few episodes, I've got nothing against sex scenes, but man, they're really over the top with trying to throw in t&a whenever possible. I've read that it gets better in season 2 and onward.

Spectacular video quality, possibly the best live action ever issued on BD.

The show itself isn't bad.

Well it's all swinging sausages and naked men every 30secs for TV and movies today. I wish it was more of a balance, but different strokes for different folks and it's the world we live in today I suppose.

Maybe it's not the show to watch when you're tired but there's a lot of good dialog and acting. Spoiler alert; I didn't like season 4 much; a lot of build up for a battle which never happened. 🤷

So many shows don't get a proper ending because they're pulled before the show is complete. Or sometimes they know the show is getting canceled so the rush some sort of half passed ending. Personally I didn't like how the last few episodes played out - thought there would be a bit more action.
