Dang, I paid $33... should have waited. Might pick up a couple as gifts at this price.

Same. I loved this series.

I hated Dragon's of Summer Flame and the direction the series went after that.

Same....pre-ordered when it was announced. Got it as soon as they were made available. No regrets; it's been in my living room bookcase since then. My wife is kind enough to allow a small "geek" section in the area accessible to guests. LoL.

I skipped school (high school) when these books dropped and read them in one day each time. The good old days.

Based on Rufus, it's been cheaper, sadly.

How do the stories hold up? Haha some stuff from my youth isn't that great when I go back and reread.

Interesting, looks like another volume due next year. Read a bunch of these but not sure where I left off.

I reread some of them recently and they aren't terrible, but they do feel simple and tame compared to something like Game of Thrones.

I'm reading this on Kindle right now! Well, finishing up the Twins trilogy.
Childhood all the way to now, and now I have to get this!
EDIT: 1-star reviews are scaring me away. Best of luck to those getting it.

Was gonna ask this myself- loved these books in my youth as a nerdy D&D kid. Curious to take a read back.

It just doesn't hold up to an adult's learned eye. Great story arc, but they were never the greatest writers. The fact nobody turned it to a viable show is really an embarrassment. Very cinematic

I feel that a lot has changed with regards to what is considered acceptable for the general audience, though I don't think Game of Thrones would have been found in the teen section of my library back in the day 😀

Compared to some of the books I've read that are available for free via Kindle Unlimited, these story lines are just as good.
Probably because they didn't have much pop references from what I can remember. Would have to reread them again.

Well sure it doesn't have rape and incest so yes it's tame. But it holds up well. Legends is still a convoluted mess but Chronicles feels very comforting as an adult reread. Always good to revisit the Inn of the last home.
