How does it do near stairs? Want this on my 3rd floor that only has carpets, but don't want it to go base jumping down the stairs.

I know other robots have fall sensors.

There's a reason why this is so heavily discounted like the air filter headphones, but not like their haircare stuff(hint: it's not very good, according to all reviews I've seen)

I have this and it works great. People who comment on this negativity have zero experience with it. BTW I don't have carpet in my house.

Thanks for the input. Giving it a shot. If it can clean our Revwood we'll be happy. Don't need a mop either.

I like Dyson products, but I cannot be convinced this will perform better than a Roborock or even a Dreame.
I have 5 Roborock models and they are all excellent, even the ones that are 5 years old. It's simply amazing.

Every serious review I've seen basically says best in class suction, terrible navigation.

companies love milking people with these things, i have an ancient anker/eufy little refurb unit I got for 50 years ago that's been working like a champ keeping my basement clean every day. its a dumb unit, but it works. just got a refurb dreameD10 for 60(?) a few weeks back, a smart unit since i need it to work around stairs (going down), been working great as well....

why waste so much money on these things??

granted, i have no carpet in my house so can't speak to that aspect of these.... but the smart money is on getting rid of carpet in a house, not buying more expensive cleaners for them...

I just had one of these delivered today to replace my Neato D7 that just stopped working because the company shut the servers down. I loved that vacuum and it still worked perfectly up until they shut down the server. This Dyson was the only thing I could find similar to the Neato D7. I like the D shape and the full width brush and simplicity of no mop. I saw the horrible reviews of the Dyson being terrible at navigating but I bought it anyway hoping it would work better after the software updates because there's nothing else out there like it. Well I set it up tonight and it tried to map my house and when it was done mapping it went about 10 feet in front of the charger and sat there turning around in circles for literally an hour! I finally picked it up and placed it on the charger myself. I looked at the map on the app and the map is not even remotely close to my house. So I guess the horrible reviews are correct and this thing just doesn't work. I read that it can have trouble mapping if it's too dark. It was night when I tried mapping mine but I had all the lights on in my house. I'm going to try it again tomorrow in the daytime and see if it can make a correct map and return to its dock on its own. If it doesn't I guess I will be returning it. I'm so disappointed as I really wanted this to work.

Might have been a good idea to see if the problem is resolved tomorrow before writing this lengthy negative review.

I know this post will get tremendous rage, but I would be surprised if Dyson is still in business soon. The Chinese stick vacuums have caught up and are so cheap to buy. The robot is obviously trash and the competition is many generations ahead. Dyson products just don't command the high price anymore. It's a new world and they got left behind. They will ride off the brand name for a few years, maybe a decade and be gone.
