I got this when we upgraded the shower pane and installed Moen.
Unfortunately, magnet is not that strong and shower easily falls off from this.
We used it for couple of weeks and eventually gave up on this

Lower position for child or someone who needs to sit in the shower are my first thoughts

Isn't it the same holder as what holds the head? I don't really understand why you would want a second spot to hang it from, but from what I can see it seems like it would hold it just as well as the original magnetix mount at the top right?

That was my thought, would also like to know if the magnet really isn't as strong as the one that comes with the shower head. My son doesn't like the water in his face, that's why I'm looking

That seems strange to me, as the lip at the top should prevent that. Are you sure you used the right shower head? The magnet isn't actually what's keeping it from falling. The lip is.

Negative. Just tried. My case has the MagSafe ring and I felt the magnet but it was ready to slide right off.

If you change the included hose for a longer one then the additional weight will likely be too much for the magnet. My parents learned that the hard way. They wanted the extra length to bathe our dog more easily. After switching back to the original hose it was fine.

When I saw this, I was like nice a magnetic phone holder for the shower.
Currently using a suction cup mount haha.

There are two main reasons you might want this.
1. If someone can't reach the top mount, this makes the shower head much more accessible. This works best for single head setups. In dual head setups you still have to reach the diverter, which is usually placed high.
2. If you have a niche or the shower handle directly under the shower head, the hose can end up hanging in the way. A magnetic mount lets you place the holder a bit off to the side so the hose stays clear of the niche and the handle.
