A lot of people are going to be critical about using spline sockets on hex fasteners, but when torque test channel tested that scenario spline sockets ended up doing quite well.

This is one of those tools that looks really cool, but I can't figure out why I would need it. Anyone wanna take a stab at convincing me?

They're for really tight spaces with very little maneuverability, like an engine bay.

Or fasteners with too much sticking past what you need to tighten for a deep socket, like a long bolt or all thread. Useful in some situations, but not daily for most of us.

These are useful for removing strut mounts.

That was my reason for buying these, a couple of years ago. They also work well on bicycle axles.

I got it and it can come in handy. Well built, but still gotta figure out a better storage solution, I keep it in the original packaging.

Gearwrench sells a better set more sockets two extensions and a case. In metric it only goes to 13mm and standard 9/16. I thought this would be a bit gimmicky, but I find myself using it all the time

Cheapest for Gearwrench passthru on Slickdeals was $55. Comes with a case but less pieces than this set.

I almost always use a ratcheting combination wrench, but I have the SATA set of these.
Nice price because they are $50 now.
