I have the ML360L V2 (not sure how this is different) and I love it. No problems.

What's the point of something like this? Doesn't it just make your system less reliable? There can't be any CPUs out there that would actually need liquid cooling, are there?

They allow you to safely overclock

But you are now contending with a possible pump failure versus natural convection using a tube and fan setup. Both methods transfer heat adequately. Servers, which run balls out 24/7, rarely, if ever, have liquid cooling.

A 16 core AMD CPU or the top two tiers of Intel CPU pull 250+ Watts. Any air cooler will throttle these CPUs.

I'm just looking at my GPU. It's a Nvidia 5080 FE and it does not have liquid cooling. Just some brief experiences with it so far but with video editing the card will run at 350w non stop. Maybe a CPU is different? I guess if you have a small portable case like a mini itx build then it would make sense.

They're not more effective. They are simply an aesthetic preference. There are water cooling solutions that offer a better cooling performance than a quality air cooler, but they are not AIOs. Having a small block with the radiator and fans kind of blending into the rest of the case looks kind of nice. But again its just a personal preference thing.

For me?- to keep things quiet. I dislike constant fan noises, and rads like this allow me to run low and quiet. As the bulk of my work is very CPU-intensive, this makes a huge QOL improvement for me. Very subjective use case, tho.
