Studies actually show ketoconazole is actually supposed to help with androgenetic alopecia (male pattern hair loss), but anybody can have adverse reactions to anything.
Medicated shampoos (or shampooing at all) are very "YMMV" things depending on what genetic/microbiome factors are causing the issues and how they respond to different medications. Try different ones, if it doesn't work or you get a negative reaction, try something else.
As for me personally, this stuff works the best out of the different antifungal/antidandruff OTC shampoos (zinc, selenium, salicylic, etc) for my dandruff. I've literally tried all of them. Again, YMMV

Great product. I use it on my beard a few times a year to take care of dry skin.

It's normally prescribed by doctors. It's POWERFUL. That's why I wrote for people to buy at own peril. It's not for all and can cause strong reactions. Unsuspecting people buy this fully ignorant of its strength.

No it's not. This is only 1%. Prescription strength is 2%.

Bought some of this stuff in september, it works. Helped me out after only a few uses. Cured the repetitive sore hair follicles that would pop up on my hairline.

Don't let this get in your eyes, it'll hurt for a long time. Very potent. Also be careful this is normally advised by doctors and not for everyone, can cause hair loss for some. I tried once and never again.

Buy at your own peril. Read the low reviews.

I wonder why there hasn't been a cheaper Walmart or Target version of this like there has for almost every other product. Nizoral has been around for decades.

When selecting 14 oz, the image changes to 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner. Is it the same product?

I get the 2% prescription strength generic free with insurance. Same for Omeprazole which is still expensive OTC.
