I've had the 590 for 5 years. It's widely considered red to be the best price/performance chainsaw available. I have never once had a starting issue. I'd bed bottom dollar operator error is to blame.

I agree 100%!
I've had mine for 10 years and the only time it's not started was because of me and the kill switch being in the wrong place, I've flooded it twice. It sat for over 6 months this Summer due to me having surgery and it popped on the 3rd pul and it started last week on the 4th pull. Run Echo Red Armor mix and non-ethanol gas and no problems.
