It's a 5 year warranty. I'd only go for one with a 10 year warranty. (That's all I buy now when it comes to PSUs.) Seriously, if manufacturers don't believe that their stuff can last, then we shouldn't buy it.

Well ya gotta think that 5 years ago the average power supply for a medium spec gaming PC was 500-550 watts.

Now it is 750-850 watts.

I feel that we should be good to go for 5 years and then will start looking at 1200w or 1500w power supplies as performance and requirements increase.

On a personal note, I have a ThermalTake 500w power supply that is about 12 years old still chugging away in an old PC. I think it was called Pure Power back then.

seems like it's more talk about so-called tech nowadays (product spoke for itself with usage), whereas things before were better in quality, and cheaper

I'd rather get the Montech Century ii 1050w for this price. 10yr warranty, Japanese capacitors and A tier on the SPL list.

I simply entered "Montech Century ii" at the amerzon and found the 1200w for $120, the 1005w for $100 and the 850w for $83. All 10yr warranty.

Any one do a " Montech " rma if trouble hits the fan?
