Pompeiian is an excellent brand and is also a leader in fighting the outlaw cheaters both in Europe and the U.S.
This legacy brand is prized locally, and I got to take a factory tour. They have giant underground reserves onsite and by the port. They buy huge amounts at a time only from growers with a clean reputation in countries who enforce purity laws, which are few. The volume hedges against spikes in price.
As I read the comments, I see one or two people speculate without evidence, then a dozen pile on. I only cook with Pompeiian and laud their consistency and taste.
