Works well but no suspension makes for a bumpy ride, for the price it's not bad at all. weight is very light at the expense of ride quality.

Yes. We had an opportunity to ride them while on vacation. They came with our VRBO rental. This exact model. I'm no scooter snob, but I'm 170 lb. male and had a great time. My 8 year old daughter was also able to ride and she loved it. We just ordered.

Perhaps the battery is not reported to New York Fire Department as UL certified even though the manufacturer states so. New York does not want battery fires in apartments or anywhere for that matter.

My sister purchased a considerably higher priced e-scooter. She definitely recommends a suspension at a minimum. If it will be treated like a toy, then no suspension needed. Otherwise, to do 2-3 mile errands, a suspension or one that gives a comfy ride is recommended, with big tires, 20+ mile range.
