Not bad, but unfortunately the screen absolutely sucks (250 nits, TN panel with 45% NTSC accuracy). I guess they had to cut costs somewhere on this to get the price at that.

hows this compare to the $330 (reported $299 in store) ASUS vivobook from walmart?

any better option for a budget laptop for basic work/personal uses? Like editing docs, filling out forms, etc.

Not bad, but unfortunately the screen absolutely sucks (250 nits, TN panel with 45% NTSC accuracy). I guess they had to cut costs somewhere on this to get the price at that.

This does not have an IPS display like the title says. The specs on Best Buy's web site say it's TN.

Price is definitely good for a 16 GB Ram PC but RAM is soldered and TN (not IPS) screen.
Good for normal school work and browsing, home work...

I'd say you can get away fine with 8GB of RAM with that many tabs. So 16GB is plenty of headroom.
