Been looking for a cheap cage with genuinely usable weight tolerances to put my works fitness credit towards and this seems to fit the bill. Having the solid safety bars able to hold up to 1200 lbs means a 300 lbs person failing a lift will be supported unless they are somehow lifting more than 900 lbs. It also doesn't show it in the pictures but in the listing the pulley is rated for 500 lbs.

Your math doesn't really add up given that the bars would only be supporting the weights and not a person, but it seems like a decent multi-function rack for any home-gym user!
I probably wouldn't trust the rated capacities, but 99.9% of users won't load it to that level. Just make sure all the parts are there and the welds are good and it will be plenty safe!

If you have a catastrophic failure on some lifts you can be in a position where you can't release your grip easily in which case the safety bars may need to support the user along with the weights. So having safety bars that can support both the user and the weights is important.
