good price for a good set of ratcheting wrenches; i bought this set last year at HD for $70+tax.
i DIY maintenance on all my vehicles and these have never let me down, but there are a few skips in case that bothers you.

I hate when they skip few...especially the small ones (like 7, 9, and 11 in this set)

Almost bought these but read many negative reviews online after looking up the part #.

I'm going to go check them out in the store today and will report back after I tinker with them.

I bought a 2 GW wrench sets last year from Tractor Supply after seeing them advertised on SD as "hot" but turned around and instantly returned them.

It's crazy how a company like GW has a product line that varies so much in quality control. Not sure if it really matters whether it's made in China or Taiwan and/or different distribution chains.

I have lots of ratchets and nothing can compare to the 120xp. Contrary to popular belief, they are stonger than an Ox with their 60T double pawls mechanism and I think even came in first beating Snap-On and Matco, etc.

I'd love to see some 120xp 2nd Gen combo ratchet wrenches (with the locking mechs) come on sale but that doesn't look like that will happen anytime soon.

Seems like Apex tool group is cashing in on a reputable name as they move a lot of their production to China. Sad thing to see, again - and by no means is this the first time this kind of thing has happened.

The ratchets (at least, 120XP and 84T models apparently) are still made in Taiwan, and I do like the 120XP flex head ratchets I got recently.
The ratcheting wrenches, though, have all been made in China. I haven't pushed mine hard enough, or really used them enough to have a well-informed outlook on their quality/longevity, but they seem decent (not perfect) enough out of the box. Both the 32pc w/ stubbies, and the 6pc double-ended flex set that was posted here recently.

What alternative brands would you suggest for solid quality ratchet wrenches?SK use to be great as did many of their competitors like GW until they outsourced and moved everything to china.I bought the GW 90T double ended ratchet wrenches that were on here on BF. They were made in China but have great reviews. I know a lot of folks like the 90T but we will see.I have the XL 120xp locking flex head in 3/8 and love it. So much that I also ended up pulling the trigger buying the standard 120xp set also on BF for $70.

I don't know if there's a single recommendation anyone can make besides just verifying the country of origin of what you're buying (or ponying up for high dollar Snap-on stuff).
Not all made-in-China stuff is bad, but with all the 'cost-cutting' going on lately, bad seems to be the new norm companies are simply hoping we don't notice.

I'm just filling a few gaps in my tools and think I'm more or less good now with the 2pc 1/4" + 3/8" 120XP flex-head set that was on sale recently, coupled with the 5pc Husky 100T set (2x 1/4", 2x 3/8", 1x 1/2" - this set needed a little TLC before feeling fairly smooth).
