done with netgear and nighthawks. 100% with Asus.

Amazing when the modem goes down the asus auto connects while the netgear waits for me to reboot.

Merlin firmware is wonderful.

So... about that... if you're feeling adventurous, you could try installing a modified Merlin from this Chinese forum on a Netgear R6300v2, RAX50, RAX70, or RAX80. Seems to also work with the RAX48 according to this Reddit comment. Don't know about the RAX43.
