You don't have to buy the silver plan on month 2 to unlock the phone. You just have to have active service for 60 days. They don't even have to be 60 consecutive days.

Also, can buy up to two of these phones and you'll get the silver plan on the second line for $30. You don't even have to buy them both at the same time. I bought one phone to unlock and my account now says I can add a second line for $30. Note that you do have to maintain the silver plan to keep this discount.

pretty sure you can downgrade to bronze $35 plan for the 2nd month all it says is 60 days of paid service for unlocking i see nothing about it needing to be the silver unlimited plan for month 2.

yes the phone and tablet work on wifi after the cellular service expires although i highly recommend just paying for a 2nd month of service for the phone so it can be unlocked for use on another carrier. that convenience is work the $35 extra if u ask me

if I don't continue the phone plan after 1 month will table plan be active for next 2 months? And Can I activate tablet plan after a month or it will be active once shipped?

from what i read the tablet would still be active since you prebought the service for 3 months but to continue the tablet plan without an active phone plan it would increase to $50 without a phone after the 3 months expires. i would recommend paying for 2nd month of service for the phone to have it unlock for use on any carrier.

In case of TW customer support help me to downgrade phone plan for $10(just text and talk) for the second month. Not sure if we can do same on ST.

Can you wait to activate this? I have mint and it will renew in February but since the plans are otherwise similar and I'm interested in the tablet with a data plan, could I wait two months to activate this so I can just stay on straight talk and cancel mint without wasting money?
