Products exists with 80% cottons and 20% polyester. The 20% protects the water to enter the mattress which is good enough. 100% polyester protectors will burn your skin.

It is weird that a person just sleeps on protector without any bed sheets. And tons of clothes are 100% polyester, anyone reports that burn skin?
