This is my favorite oscillating tool, the variable speed trigger makes a big difference when starting cuts.

I'm remodeling a bathroom, removed one wall, 75 year old house and the 3/4" drywall sheets had steel reinforcement at the corners which I needed to cut, I needed to move a wall stud (for plumbing fixture location) but keep drywall up for the adjoining room.

I'm amazed just how much this tool has done for me.

If you do stuff yourself, it's so helpful.

Btw, basic metal cutting blades get destroyed by drywall screws. Carbide (I purchased Milwaukee brand carbide) blades last a very long time.

I bought once from Fasteners and it was a great price. My only concern is that they use packaging tape all around the oem box (literally every square inch), tape the shipping label on and ship like that. Boxes are smooshed. Yes, I know, we need the tool inside but if anyone is planning to give those as a gift, forget it.

Agreed. The Amazon ones seem such good value until you realize that they last just a couple of cuts or until they hit a screw, whichever is sooner. The Milwaukee ones are shockingly expensive but save you money in the end based on how long they last.

Spend your money on Fein instead. Best oscillating tools on the planet.
