What's the best knock-off of these types of lights? This seems expensive for what it is.

This really is a fantastic deal. I purchased these a couple months ago, two of the 24 inch models and two 12 inch ones to add on. Installed in our kitchen before we even moved into our new house! Super, super easy to install and setup. Two pre installed screws in each piece, just hold them where you want and screw to cabinets. Run power wires and you're done. I connected to the extra outlet above the stove for the microwave. Just drill a few holes and you're good to go.

They work great, used them every single day since we moved in, added them to Home Assistant and such with no issues. Also picked up a wall switch for like $12 that does power, brightness and color temp too. Super easy and the lighting looks fantastic. Paid more than this, still perfectly happy!

Agree with other poster, such a switch is uncommon. If you found one, please share. Getting LED Dimmers that work as intended can be a challenge.

I'm pretty sure they're referring to the GE Cync Wall Switch, which does all of what they're saying.

Also have these when we did a kitchen remodel.

They can be linked and hard wired which makes it great for use with normal light switches.

Plenty of color/brightness options.

Seems like a low price but Amazon says regular price is $40 so only $5 off. I still got 2 since they're matter capable. Now need to figure out how best to use them

Mine just arrived, and while the lights themselves are really impressive, they're gonna have to go back because of how archaic GE the cable design and options are. Both sides of my kitchens have 36" gaps without cabinets, and there is no way to bridge that span even with the 36" extension/linking cable you can get at Lowe's. They would need to be at least a few inches longer.

There is no way to extend beyond any length they provide since the cables are 120V and can't connect to each other or gender-bend.

Very disappointing that GE would make these really high-quality lights, throw the latest smart tech in them (Matter), and then completely fumble the ball when it comes to customer use-case.
