What's the best knock-off of these types of lights? This seems expensive for what it is.

This really is a fantastic deal. I purchased these a couple months ago, two of the 24 inch models and two 12 inch ones to add on. Installed in our kitchen before we even moved into our new house! Super, super easy to install and setup. Two pre installed screws in each piece, just hold them where you want and screw to cabinets. Run power wires and you're done. I connected to the extra outlet above the stove for the microwave. Just drill a few holes and you're good to go.

They work great, used them every single day since we moved in, added them to Home Assistant and such with no issues. Also picked up a wall switch for like $12 that does power, brightness and color temp too. Super easy and the lighting looks fantastic. Paid more than this, still perfectly happy!

These do look very nice...but if you're looking for cheap lighting under the cabinets...there are tons of options. I just have LED light bars under the cabinets (choose the bar length) which are motion activated and are really nice and you can recharge them. They're really cheap these days, especially with Black Friday being here.
Or, you could do a LED strip light that is motion activated that would go under all of your cabinets. The strip goes under all of your cabinets, and the little motion sensor hangs down in a central area. The LED bars are a little classier though, and they stay up better since they are magnetic. Here's the link to some LED bars.

I bought 2 of these when they first came out for twice as much, love them. Only did 2 cause of the price, in for 2 more to "finish" the job.

Target also has them for the same price, there does not appear to be a limit.

This is a great price for the 24" model. I've got 5 of the 12", and they have been just fine. I've been adding to the collection slowly. The lowest I've ever seen the 12 inch ones is $30 ($40 with a $10 instant coupon on Amazon), otherwise $35-$36 has been the sale price and $40 has been the regular price. I've actually got 24 Cync bulbs, the rope light, and these 5 under cabinet lights in my kitchen/dining room and they've been pretty solid. The only issue I have is that color isn't consistent between different lights and color quality diminishes when dimmed with some colors (example, when you dim the warm white, it doesn't keep the same color but actually gets more pale).

Are they bright enough for over the sink or closet light? Need to replace some 24" fluorescent. Also, does it hold the last setting if powered off by a wall switch? Doesn't say Apple Home support but does do Matter, anyone tried?

Matter works great with Apple Home.
