Best is to plant in a location protected from the wind, either where they go or at least heeled in. Otherwise place indoors in an unheated space with sunlight and water infrequently.
They may survive a mild winter kept outside in the pots, but maybe not. Death is almost certain if hit by severe cold. (Don't want to throw $ away.)
