I was able to replicate the deal. Did the extra $40 show up in a category called "other fees"? If you click on the ? button, it explains that other fees is for sales tax.

Highly recommend at this price. Set aside some cash for proper safety gear and not just a bike helmet.

thanks for the advice on the additional gear, I went ahead and added a propeller to my helmet

I got this deal last year. I love my scooter and it's still going strong! Good company to deal with too. They take a full day to reply to emails but they fixed my issue without resistance. It's a great deal! *edit to add, this is NOT a toy. Get real motorcycle safety gear! I would have been seriously messed up when I crashed without proper gear. A friend got one and broke his foot and wrist first trip out on it.
