I have a few things with micro right now so that doesn't scare me by itself.

It's that the design, the battery cells, the power management chips, all that... Had to be very dated by the nature of it still using that connection type. Add to all that the thing you're plugging in that micro cord to is likely newer and therefore delivers more power than likely was considered when all this was engineered.

THAT is what keeps me away. Cascade lithium fire is not on my bingo card thanks and my risk tolerance for one is zero. That's my reasoning and my $.02

I've had 2 of these flashlights. I know it uses micro but they are so dang nifty because of the sliding torch function. Seriously for $18. I might buy 1 as anotherr backup.

Have used many of these for work. Nice part is they have a magnet at the end so they can magnetize and allow hands free. Downside is I've seen then magnet come loose and be lost on several lights, but not all. A few stopped working with no apparent reason. Overall they are a decent light, especially at $18, however I wouldn't pay much more than that.
