I order at least one 40-pound bag of cat litter from Amazon each week. (because I don't want to order 2 or more bags in each order and face the Amazon driver's anger) In a year, that's over 2000 pounds of cat litter.

Thoughts about getting these versus adjustable dumbbells? I'm thinking these are going to be more stable with less rattles for the weight plates on adjustable ones?

Irregardless if this is a good deal or not, for the version I am looking at Keepa is showing that these were priced $149 up until November 2nd when they raised the price to $189.

Fixed dumbbells are much nicer if you have the room and budget. But for stronger people that are using 45lb 55lb it can get very expensive.

I have this set, and also a few pairs that go up to 60 pounds. I'll probably add 70 and 80 pounds in the next few months. If it's a home gym, cost might be a constraint, but more often than not, your limiting factor is space. 10-15 pairs of dumbbells take a lot of room. Most folks need a bench, storage for dumbbells, maybe some bands, and then gym-creep comes along and you want a rack, a functional trainer, and maybe a lat pulldown tower. Buying an all in one unit from Rep or Rogue costs upwards of $5-8K.

I have the Power Block Elite's and they are Amazing! Because of their design you can do a lot with them.

That stated- I am looking into getting a lighter set of dumbbells for my shoulders and other stability based exercises that utilize lighter weights.
