Nope, there is a bit of a rubber smell but it goes away when aired out. I have a whole set of this brand from 5-50 and no issues, honestly great for the price

I bought the 5lbs to 25lbs set 8 months ago and just recently bought the 50lbs pair. There was a slight smell that does go away. Quality was fine. There was no damage and have held up well so far.

No I got a bunch on the BOGO deal and they are great. Slight rubber smell that is normal pretty much gone already. They're 5 ft away from me right now can't smell them.

I have 6 of these (10's, 25's, 35's) and never had anything wrong with them. Complaints about these have generally focused on smell; they're rubber and aren't meant to smell pleasant. lol If you drag them over a hard floor, the rubber can leave a black streak but it rubs right off.
Take care of your gear and it will take care of you. If you did happen to receive something that isn't in pristine condition, it happens. It's a weight. If it lifts it works.

Got it applied, about $84.27 after taxes, no extra delivery charge, Prime member. Will take about 13 days, but best price! I was close to doing the Ethos 50 pound urethane, but they're $84.99 before tax and that's for a SINGLE. I already have 10-35 in 5 lb increment from the brand Tru Grit, but they look IDENTICAL to this CAP one, saying "50" instead of "50lb".
