Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank N3RD_01

I mentioned this previously, it's best to do an instore pick up and check if the code is in the box or scratched off. If it is depending on the Best Buy and manager they will offer a discount to compensate especially for "excellent condition" b/c excellent condition requires all accessories in box to be deemed "excellent". (YMMV) some managers are cool will offer good/fair pricing instead some managers might not care.

Should I get this knowing it will just sit in my closet?

Of course. Isn't your closet hungry?

Or if you prefer, you can get it and let it sit in my closet

Are you me? I like the idea of it. Really wanna play gt7 with it, but that's pretty much it, no other titles really interest me. I'm also tempted by the idea of it being a personal big screen so the wife can use the actual tv concurrently but sitting there with a vr headset unaware of the outside world while my wife sits next to me seems a little black mirror

If you have a gaming PC, you can buy an adapter and also use this for PC VR on Steam. Haven't tested it myself, but since Sony has essentially given up on VR, at least you'll be able to play new games that way.

This can be used for PCVR as well. Crazy good deal considering the level of technology involved in this device. Original MSRP on the headset alone was $550!

I know people love to hate on PSVR2 but I bought it just for Resident Evil 4+8 and Gran Turismo and IMO it was worth $500 just for those experiences. I've gamed since SNES and RE4VR with adaptive triggers is one of my favorite gaming experiences of all time! Headset looks even better/clearer on PC. At $230 I almost want to buy another just for back up controllers and in case my headset ever breaks.

Purchased this from a similar deal a few months ago and only used it when I set it up.

Needing to have the cable connected makes it unapealing

Also, it seemed a bit blurry up top. I'm not sure if that's how it's supposed to be

A new VR wife wouldn't judge you…
