The TS-464 is at Black Friday pricing. $470 on Amazon. It matches the lowest I've seen for new on this. They HAD used for $427 - 3% = ~$300. I sprung for two of them because my colleague said he wants a NAS and I'm pondering building out a second. I flagged it as "deal expired" at least once, but the mods have left it active. Perhaps watch both the 264 and 464 to see if Amazon Resale stock still comes back in (assuming the additional 30% off is still a thing).
If those price points are too high, Terramaster is starting to gain traction and they'll give you a bit more hardware for the price point. I'm not TOO familiar with them, however, so I don't want to start recommending specific models.

I'm partial to the QNAP line. If you want to keep it 2-bay, the TS-264. But IMHO, if you do 2-bay, it really limits your RAID options and essentially you're relegated to a single disk (+redundancy). So I personally do 4-bay NASes.
