Any way to use this as an IP camera? I.e without connecting to TP Link servers, or is this just a free livestream of my backyard to overseas?
Solar cams are tricky in general for that, since they aren't always fully active, since they run on battery.
I have the 2K version that looks identical running through Home Assistant/Frigate, but it was a serious PITA to get working, and if I had had way to get power/PoE over to where it's mounted, I would never have considered it.
