Good deal... On par with the people who have the $30 through Tmobile for $10 and $5 for second line.

NEVER port your number to Lyca as they make it extremely difficult to port out and keep charging high renewal plans once you are stuck with them. Best is to get their plan, use it with Google voice, let it expire and sign again with another promo.

I have been trying to cancel for a week now and with hold times of an hour, it has been night mare dealing with their customer service. They are now asking me to email the customer service with proof of service and get an answer in 7 business days. Really sorry I joined them.

Yeah, lyca wanted to trap me as well. But, thanks to my (fake) employer, who were offering free phones with AT&T line for which I had to port out.

I tried to port my number yesterday for eSim, nobody responded to both online support and phone customer service. Received notification that my request cancelled I tried again today, nobody responded on website support I was on the phone for like 1.5 hours then connected to the agent, I told her I have the correct pin number until I opened my messages she hung up on me.
I gave up and purchased Visible annual plan, I will request refund from Lyca

does the company require you to call or install their app in order to activate?

I thought that the difficulty that the other user was having is because he/she needed to make phone or some other contact with Lyca in order to port out. Wouldn't you have still needed to make phone contact with them in order to port out?

I know it would be too good to be true but the title on this post made me think it was a one-time payment of $7.50 for 6 months of service

Yeah, you need to wait approximately for 1-2 hours on hold to talk with a human!
