1920x1080=2,073,600 pixels, so I guess they're interpreting that as 2k. I don't agree - I wish it would just be referred to as Full HD (FHD)

There very similar options for cheaper and Touch screen. But not a terrible deal if there's something specific you need here

This matches "4k". On the consumer side, "4k" most commonly refers to 3840x2160 (UHD). Yes, 3840 is only 96% of 4000. So it is slightly false. But I think it's close enough.

1920x1080 is the same ratio as UHD. And, 1920 is also 96% of 2000.

You may be getting confused because of how this is referring to the width instead of the height. 2k is 1080p. 4k (UHD) is 2160p.

(Overall I agree with you. People have called this 1080p or full HD (FHD) for more than a decade now. Suddenly calling it 2K is marketing to make it sound better.)

I think the confusion is that QHD is sometimes referred to as 2k (which is actually what doesn't make sense). FHD (this) is closer to the definition of 2k than QHD is. Also, worth noting that this panel looks to be 1920x1200 (16:10, not 16:9 as in the OP).

How is the battery on this as far as expanding and heat? I'm so hesitant to get another HP because of how mine is now, expanded and bloated but supposedly not part of the recalls...

Probably shipping weight. More like 3.97 from HP's site.

The deal below from Walmart seems better with AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 and 1920 x 1200 screen resolution for $20 more.

If you have concerns then don't buy HP.

Only really glaring problem is the Realtek wifi chipset. If you can replace it with an Intel one, you would have a pretty great machine.
