Careful if you live in Wisconsin or Michigan - Republicans currently have bills crafted to ban VPNs.

Just gonna put this out there.. If you know windscribe you know they're a bit of a quirky company, last year they had their usual strange video on Nov 20th and usually on a wall in a scene or something is a special code where you can get a further discount. I managed it last year and now I'm on $19/yr for life. I think the discounts are first come first serve so you have to be quick, but if you can get it it's a pretty decent deal for a good vpn company.

Well, their ultimate goal is a nation porn ban ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0noIS9lmR0Y ), they are using state legislature like the bills in Texas, Wisconsin and Michigan as attack vectors. These people don't understand technology very well, but they know enough that VPNs are typically used to get around these bans, so that's why they are proposing a ham-fisted blanket ban on VPNs.

It remains to be seen if they know how critical VPNs are to many industries and how they would write the law knowing this information.. Hopefully these bills get shut down before they see the light of day, because this is going to be a massive headache for many people and businesses for what amounts to an ineffectual ban.

I had windscribe before and it was fine. Since then I have seen tons of cashback sites offering 100% or even more on VPN services. Did a deal for 27 months of NordVPN and it paid out properly

But they also said I can't expect anything close to that this year as I was stupid to not setup auto renew on 19/yr plan. So, I'm hoping 19/yr comes back.

Got lifetime in 2017 for $50 or so. Paid tiers have no limit. They were down during the Cloudflare outage on Monday. Their app couldn't get a secure connection and the website was down.

other than that it's pretty good. They are based in Canada.
