No Atmos and the "wireless" surround speakers have to be wired together. So sad.

I went with the Costco Hisense AX700 for the $249.00 - I am pretty happy with it for a small room. it essentially the clone to AX5140Q 5.1.4. AX700 just drops a few Hisense features that only works if you have a Hisense TV.

Any downsides to the AX700?

How else are Satellite speakers supposed to get power if they're completely "wireless?"

Almost all wireless soundbar systems work this way. The Subwoofer is plugged in for power, and the "surround" speakers connect to the subwoofer.

Of course they have to be plugged in for power, duh. My post was about a wire connecting the two speakers together, so they cannot be placed anywhere (where there is a power outlet).
