The 1000R of the samsung felt very immersive for a single screen setup when I was in the store.
Samsung: 2560×1440 (QHD)
Acer: 1920×1080 (FHD)
Samsung: 1000R
Acer: 1500R
Negatives are washed out at this price. She is a very happy mama.
PS. the connection on back is a Display Port, not HDMI. Not sure why it is incorrect on website but the monitor 100% came with a DP cable.

I might be more visually sensitive than some, but 1000r is a deal breaker for me. 1000r is a common reason for returns, and one reason why 1000r models have so many open box/refurbished options.

A 34" has shorter height than a 32" and is actually about 7.75" wider. 34" would be preferred for productivity, making side by side windows or even 3x windows more usable.
It is becoming less common, but some programs in full-screen mode (i.e. retro or basic games, some video playback), that don't offer widescreen display, it may display with black bars on the side, and essentially will display like a 27".
