Just for reference- price was $140 for a 2-pack on both Amazon and eufy's main site on 10/7 and 10/8.

The best deal is when Eufy direct has the same price as their Amazon sales. Eufy direct has better cashback thru CB portals like Raks plus you can use Eufy gift cards.

Eufy gives free gift cards if you have an existing Eufy device- I redeemed 1,500 Eufy points for a $15 Eufy gift card. Got the points really quickly by signing up for their newletters, registering my existing Eufy devices and donating a few recorded videos from my existing Eufy device to improve their AI modeling.

In addition, Eufy sells discounted gift cards- I purchased a $120 one for $100. They sold discounted gift cards 9/29 - 10/5 before Prime Day and again on 11/6 to 11/19.

My Bottomline
$140 for 2 pack S350
Minus $20 savings from Eufy gift card discount sale
Minus $15 free Eufy gift card from their loyalty program
$14 10% CB thru Raks

Net $91 for 2 pack S350, or $45.50 for each

Keep in mind that Eufy does not allow continuous live viewing. The app times out after a few minutes. I like to leave my phone on to keep an eye on my kids, so I'm in the process of switching all my cameras to Tapo which does allow continuous live viewing as long as you're on the same wifi network as the camera.

Can this be used without connecting to their proprietary cloud?

You can use the eufy home base with your own hard drives in them. I'm in the process of moving everything to eufy cuz Arlo is a pain and even ring is inconsistent at this point.

Thanks for sharing the idea. I'm going to test this. How long you think continous live stream is good enough? IMO 20 minutes is good. Thoughts?

It's been almost two years for me since I've switched, so it's possible eufy may have fixed this. I use cameras as baby monitors, and I would regularly find my eufy stream ended saying "request timed out" and have to restart live view. Not sure how much time elapsed before time out, but it just wasn't reliable for baby monitor use. Since switching to Tapo, I routinely keep a phone on a charging stand at bedtime with live view in the kids room, and it's always still on in the morning.

It looks like eufy fixed the continuous live stream capability for hardwired cams. Also, they make a specific baby monitoring camera but obviously this one can be used as well. This specific camera has pretty good sensitivity for sound and added a "cry detector" to get even better notifications if used as a baby monitor. I just installed three of these throughout my home and noticed the settings.

I paid $147 for a pair direct from Anker via Temu last Black Friday, plus a pretty hefty chunk of cashback. That was before tariffs, so this might not actually be that bad a deal if you need one right now, but it might get even better in a week's time.

"So long as youre on the same wifi network as the camera" thats a big caveat.

Agreed. I like to keep iot devices on an isolated Wi-Fi network, but could not do it with Tapo. If you know of a camera brand that has reliable live viewing without onerous requirements, I'd like to know.
