The FC11C is arguably the best pocket flashlight under $40. This is even better than the last deal at $20. Repped OP. If you want to own one flashlight and don't want to spend $80+, this is it.

It's a huge step above the sea of Chinese pocket flashlights you find at any US retailer. IMO it's better than any other flashlight under $40, even from good companies like Sofirn and Wurkkos.

Several reasons. First, the buck converter.
Most flashlights get dimmer as the battery runs out...to the point that they put out less than 1/4 of the light it did at full charge. The converter keeps the light output stable as the battery runs down, so you don't feel like you need to constantly charge it to get full brightness. The buck converter is also more efficient, so you get more light for longer off the same battery charge. (Boost converters do the same thing, but for LEDs that need a high voltage. The result for you, the user, is the same.)

Second, the charge indicator. You can tell right away, when you turn it on, whether it's getting low on charge or not. Many cheap flashlights just stop working. Many others just flash a couple times, about two minutes before they stop working. On this one, you still have over an hour left on medium when the button goes red. This means you don't have to charge it every day to keep it from going out on you.

Last, the high CRI LED. If a flashlight doesn't mention tint or CRI, it's low CRI and 6K+ tint, which makes everything look bluish and washed out. If they just say "warm white" it's usually 3000K, which is yellowish. The 519A in this flashlight has great color rendering, and comes in two usable tints, 4K and 5K that both look natural and let you distinguish colors well.

The only other choice I like under $40 is the Wurkkos TS22 with the High CRI LED, which is basically the same flashlight, but bigger and brighter with a 21700 battery. Right now it's $37, but unless you need the extra battery life I don't think it's worth two FC11Cs.

You will see a flag on the navigation bar at the top, towards the right, with a little dropdown arrow next to it. If the language is not English the flag will be from some other country. Click the flag.

If you can't understand the language it's stuck in, the top set of options on the dropdown menu are "Ship To:" with the first line being "Country". The second major option is "Language", which you obviously want to change to English first. The third major option is "Currency", which usually autoadjusts when you set your country. The black button at the bottom is "Save", which you should click after you fix the other options.

Yes, the AX website is bad at autodetecting your country. I don't know why.

Hope this helps!

Why are the Aliexpress links on here always broken? They send me to the dutch site, or give me a 404 error. Anyone else have a similar experience?

Love this light. I bought one a while back and the color rendering is the best of all my lights. Frustrating that the link on this deal doesn't work correctly. Otherwise I'd buy handful of them to keep around the house.

Sounds like this would happen if you didn't open the flashlight to check.

If the link taking you to AE with different language, that is probably because you don't have account with them yet and not logged in. Once you logged in, it will set it to your location and your currency. If you need to change the site setting, it is on the top right corner of the website.

And it's just a flashlight, doesn't have to be that deep with CCP involvement bs.

Did you open the battery tube and remove the spacer in the battery tube? I bought like 5 different Wurkkos (from Amazon and AE) and they're all working after I remove the spacer.

All I can say is every time an Ali link here is clicked, I go to a foreign language by default, and it is the only storefront I am taken to from Slick Deals that ever does this.

I must have gotten a fake when I bought mine. It's not bright at all. I guess I am not either buying on AE.

I've got one of these I got over a year ago at a similar price in Ali and it is amazing. Super efficient, no BS SOS mode in the rotation (but has one with a button combo), power button indicates when the battery is low, tail magnet is strong enough to hold it. The only thing I would warn everybody is be sure you want a side button and not a tail button, since it can take a second to find the button in the dark. Putting the clip opposite the button helps but tail button is always easy to hit.
Mine stopped working and wouldn't even charge last week and I thought it died, but the top just came slightly unscrewed and a twist to tighten it back up I was back in business.

I have this light. It is excellent sans one fatal flaw — the placement of the charge port, and specifically its rubber cover, is opposite the power button, exactly on the other side of the barrel. I often find myself trying to push it, instead of the power button, when not looking and/or in the dark. This annoys me to no end to the point that I sometimes avoid taking the light with me. I like it enough that I still take it, but unfortunately I would not get it again because of this reason. The Nichia 519A is awesome, and it's the primary reason I ordered this light.
