This better than best buy?

Yes. Includes warranty, first of all. Second, these are HDMI 2.1 and will support VRR, ALLM, etc. The BBuy one is HDMI 2.0, so you don't get VRR and ALLM.

If you don't need those (mainly for gaming) and want to finance via a BBuy card, it's likely an almost-identical panel. But w/ some features stripped out.

Rtings doesnt think its great:TCL Q77K Review (55Q77K, 65Q77K, 75Q77K, 85Q77K, 98Q77K) - RTINGS.com [rtings.com]
Yeah I saw the tv specs and all seems great compared to the bestbuy and Walmart range of 1k but then poor review from the professional. I'm torn now ..

I wouldn't do this. There's a high chance you'll end up with a defect / issues and then you have to deal with warranty, which from the reviews is also hit or miss.

The dark corners of the screen really pulls me away.

I had my eye on this for a while, I think I'll spend a bit more and get the Hisense mini-LED one.

This or the Q51k/Q55K from Walmart/Best Buy? This has better specs but possibly worse picture quality according to Rtings.

I am canceling my bestbuy order and getting this one. Seems to be slightly better model and comes with 5 years warranty at slightly lower price...

The BB one is 2.1. The Costco one has brighter lighting but lower refresh rate. 55 for gaming in a darker room, 77 for normal use in a brighter room.

No TCL 2025 TV has 4 HDMI 2.1 ports. They have two 2.1 and two 2.0 ports.

TCL Q77K Review (55Q77K, 65Q77K, 75Q77K, 85Q77K, 98Q77K) - RTINGS.com [rtings.com]
I decided to cancel Walmart order and go with this one. Rtings reviewed 75 inch panel, which may be different from the panel on this version. The 98" panel has a different matte coating, a different speaker system, and support for Dolby IQ (I don't know what that is exactly tbh but it's not advertised on the 75" version). This suggests that the two panels may be different . Reviewers rarely admit this but performance can vary drastically between sizes within the same class. You can only make a direct comparison with a TV of the same model and size. The only way to tell for sure if I'm right is to see it in person as there are currently no reviews that I can find online. All that being said, on paper this is better than the Q51K/Q55K, cheaper than the Q51K/Q55K, and Costco has a better return policy so for me this is clearly the better deal.

Cool! I keep resisting. Holding out for qm7 for around 1600.
