Do you think this will go lower on black Friday? I'm considering buying now anyways, because even if it's better priced on BF ram prices might have gone up another $50 by that time.

It may... but it would probably be a very limited doorbuster.

I got this bundle for $359 (it was a price error) a couple of weeks back. Being within $40 is still pretty good. Think this is the "low".

I've been chasing that and I doubt we'll see it again. I think I might get this deal. Been fighting for either the this deal or the 100 dollar more for the 9800x3d w/mobo.

With the price of DDR5 memory now, unless you have that memory now, is it really worth it?

Yeah, if it's an unnecessary upgrade I would pass on a build due to ram prices. If you need to build a new machine, probably would get 16 gb of slow ram and wait for prices to come down.
If you need ram and don't want to compromise on speed, Walmart isn't updating their in store prices as quickly as online retailers, so if you find ram in stock nearby you can get a pretty good discount on ram. In particular Kingston fury ram has been cheaper than other retailer at $140 for 2x16gb, but it's only in stock at one Walmart within an hour drive of my home. Have to pick it up in person and finding in stock ram is tedious.

Good tip. Im debating whether to jump on a deal like this. Still have a very capable gpu (6800 XT) but i think my cpu is heavily bottlenecking me in games like flight simulator (i5-11400). Seems like this should take care of that. Just don't know whether it's a combo like this + new DDR5 ram for about 600 ish is worth the price of admission.

if anyone has a thoughts/words of wisdom I'd appreciate it!

unless you have some ddr5 memory lying around, I would not touch these deals. I think the minimum amount of memory in desktops these days should be 32gb. If I cannot populate my pc with that much, I will definitely wait. I have a 5700x with 128gb and wanted to build one with ddr5 but with prices like these, I am looking for a ddr4 board so that I can share the 128gb between the two machines. No way I am going to touch any ddr4 or ddr5 memory for a long while

I think this nails where most people are or should be financially IMO. I am in the odd situation that I managed to hit on upgrading my wife and I's PC's with excess ram and AM5 sockets in August just before RAM prices went insane. So with these deals I now have a solid excuse to upgrade my kids gaming PC's and I can then split off some of the excess RAM we purchased for our PC's before the prices went up for their PC's (I also managed to purchase a combo from Newegg this week with free RAM and motherboard which helps too.

But I think, like lots of others believe, that these RAM prices are going to cause a great skew in part sales and those prices... at this point combos are just going to suck unless i get discounted or cheap RAM pretty much...

Does Amazon ever match this kind of deal on these bundles? Or even Microcenter selling through Amazon? Trying to decide if is should drive 2 hours round trip for this or hope to catch it online.

I haven't heard of Amazon matching, but best buy often will if you live near microcenter.

32gb ram addon for $200 is not terribly extreme. $40 more than a few months ago? $40 is breakfast at McDonalds!
