Maybe if you usually watch in a dark room and don't mind the smaller size, but that's still running you $200 more I believe. Maybe consider the QM7K as well.

yea i missed out on that deal, but REALLLLY want something in the 50+" range, and this thing says 144hz? thats like a computer monitor isnt it?

I don't use TV too often but will watch the occasional show or Netflix. I'm looking for a new 55", don't won't to spend too much, but also want something that can last a few years. Is this a good buy, wait for something cheaper on BF, or save for something higher quality?

This Costco or the non pro version at Best Buy for $397 less the 20% paypal pay in 4 offer also found here on this site? The Costco has 5 year warranty vs 1 year at Best Buy.

This also qualifies for the Costco Direct discount - if you have 2 items that are under the Costco Direct branding, you get $100 off. My wife wanted a TV console and a TV for a sitting room/office she converted from an un-used bedroom and between the sale of those two items and another $100 off, I feel like I got a good deal.
