On more than one occasion these have given me enough notice that my sump pump isn't working or a drain is backed up and flooding the crawl space to give myself enough time to protect furniture and other important items. Batteries are also user replaceable so life of these units is basically unlimited.

I've stopped buying Govee. They make great physical devices, but the software is so garbage. I don't want another app. Just let me use it locally, on home assistant.
Does anyone know if this circular shaped gateway blocks the other receptacle in a duplex? I have an older model where it's a longer rectangle that does block - I'd consider an upgrade just to free it up.

I have this version. If you place it in the lower receptacle, there's still room above to place a normal-sized plug!
