anyone tried these outside the ring ecosystem?
I'm wondering if they can be pared with home assistant using zigbee or Zwave.

the other deal was $27 for 6 pack. and of course the staff would hide that from you.

ring-mqtt-ha-addon will get you home assistant integration with the ring ecosystem. You can also go straight into a z-wave stick into home assistant.

Yes I have one in HA using Z-Wave JS and a Nortek USB combo stick with a Z-Wave radio - an automation senses powder room door open/close status from the Ring sensor to kick on an exhaust fan after 3 minutes of door closure if presence/occupancy sensed in a sensor group using a Philps Hue PIR motion sensor (Zigbee) and an Aqara FP1E MMWave presece sensor(Zigbee).

Just orderd a bunch more to monitor open/close status of first floor windows so I can set them up in Alarmo to create a homegrown security system.

I've done that. They work with the HA third party ring integration. Not the official one.
