Perfect timing, I'm finishing my 5 pound bag from the last Amazon deal. Side note, this is some of the best "cheapest" rice you can find. We absolutely love it!

At almost $1/lb this is still ridiculously expensive for rice.

I think $1/lb is a good price for decent quality rice, especially in the smaller sized bags (5 pounds or less). Cheaper rice is usually mushy and bland.

IMO royal basmati rice tastes much better. Used to be 18$ for 20lb bag at sams/walmart before tariff kicked in.

Jasmine and basmati rice have much different flavor and texture. You cannot say one is always better than the other. Depends a lot on what else in your meal.

When you compare jasmine to basmati, it's like you've never had rice before.
