I just saved another 10% by signing up for Dell Email Updates, it took like 20 minutes to get the email. $584.99+tax = $624.47. https://slickdeals.net/landing/dell-technologies/?couponid=2483911

Thanks. If I get the email I think I will buy it, I have $50 off with my amex too, so it's effectively $550. Any thoughts on getting this one vs a 4k 240hz oled?

10% student discount, $584.99! $633 after tax. Glad I got this instead of the MSI 34 OLED at 175 for 500 from walmart deal last week. worth $85 more for the 65hz boost.

unless you have a 5090, not worth, also double check but i dont think its 240 at 4k, it usually drops 120 or 60.

I agree, the 4k will mostly be for watching movies. I have a 4080. Any thoughts on this monitor for movie watching?

Btw my Amex offer is actually $100. So if I get that 10% off email I think I'm buying it. But it's been a little over half an hour now.

I hear its amazing for movies. theres like 3-6 other ways to get the 10% Discount, teacher, healthcare, student email, etc. they dont stack, so just do whatever you can get.

Replacing two 7 year old 27" 4K hi res LCD's use mostly for productivity apps, emails and web browsing. Occasionally a movie or long video. No gaming. Is this overkill?

Some people complain about text clarity on the 34" oled screens. May not be your best option if you aren't gaming with it.

Ultrawides seems so much nicer for me for productivity. At work I have 2 27in and at home a 34in Ultrawide. it just seems easier for me to see everything on one screen with no split in the middle. I can snap VS to one side and the browser to the other side with Windows key+left/right arrow. When I worked fully remote it was nice to have a second monitor just for emails or a video.
