Quality watch with step counter

303 77 November 15, 2025 at 09:00 AM
I have a Casio G shock cgg 100 that I paid like $400 for and the watch face is full of condensation, so need a new watch!

Must have an actual watch face with a second hand, as a RN i need that to count the heart beat and a step counter!!

Does not have to be fancy, but must be durable and a long battery life and a step counter

I'm sad that your Casio didn't hold up. I wonder if it was defective, because they're usually pretty waterproof.

If you went for a full-featured smartwatch, you could download different watch faces to suit your needs. Here's a video [youtu.be] showing off a few of them, including faces with a virtual second hand. There's a deal for a newer version of that watch here.

If you prefer having a physical second hand, I certainly understand. There just aren't nearly as many models let alone deals. I only found a few models searching terms like "analog step counter" or "hybrid step counter" on Google.

Ended up buying a Garmin Instinct 2 solar! Seems to fit my needs.

Yes very disappointed that it died....I would expect a watch that has lived an easy life to last longer than 1.5 yrs.

Nice, I like those. Tons of features without having to charge it every day.

had been my concern about getting a watch that 1 has to charge.....They say by just using it as a reg watch, the battery lasts for weeks. Has a pretty decent flashlight option which is cool.
