Looks too fancy and Im sure its a good deal. But whatever you do, please avoid steel bristle brushes. They can rust and pieces break-off and end up in the stomach - spouse works ER. A coiled brush is a much better option - a cheap one can be had for $13 (https://www.homedepot.com/p/Grill.../322906682).

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of more gov't regulations, but this would seem to be a topic where the simply straight wire brushes marketed for grills should just be illegal. Young folks will never just know to avoid them without being educated about it. I haven't swallowed a wire from a brush, but did see one that ended up on my finished grilled chicken.

This is specifically an alternative to using steel or bristles.
It uses a wet sponge that essentially steams/deglazes the grill surface.

FWIW.. my $$$ $40 coiled brush failed relativly quickly. After a few months it was basically an old school bristle brush. The coils breaking seem just as dangerous.. i stopped using them both.

I use the Grill Daddy version of this. They are good at what they do but they don't last that long. After a few uses the outer scrubbing part wears through and it's done. I bought replacement heads and when I use them all I won't be buying anymore.
Just use a cedar plank. They're cheap, form to fit the shape of your grill, won't damage the ceramic coating, and last a decent amount of time. Just get the grill nice and hot to burn in the initial shape and then to make it last use it when the grill is cool.

Those coiled ones like you posted will eventually shed pieces of metal wire that are just as dangerous as the bristle version.

to me it sounds like your grill may be too hot if you are only getting a few uses out of each one. i'm still rocking my original after many uses with only slight wear and tear. but ymmv i guess.

Regular price appears to be closer to low to mid $30s from Amazon and other sellers.

Simple and effective and I don't care about longevity for the price. 4 lasts the entire year of grilling.
