100lbs hanging on drywall without hitting a single stud, attached only by nails of all things and not even something more suitable like toggle bolts? That mount is trash! Pretty good chance any tv hung on that as stated and with the hardware included would soon be trash too!

So the 1100+ people who gave this 4.7/5 stars with some really detailed reviews by many with TV's up for months must all be lying?
Im sure it works and it should given how much surface area it grabs onto but i dont think itl hold if even a small earthquake hits, likes ones you would bolt to a stud

Granted on earthquakes.but most areas of the US rarely experience them. so really up to one's judgement if this is a good solution for their needs.

I'd definitely be at least adding toggle bolts onto it, but it looks like the mount rail only accommodates the nails it comes with. Would not buy/use if in CA...

I have no experience with this mount, and I'm not endorsing or disapproving of it either.

I'm always amazed how light in weight these LED panels have become. I had an old school 42" LCD back in the day that weighed more than three or four 65" TVs do today.

Keeping that in mind, I think people generally overestimate the stress being put on a wall mount.

Even so, not all TVs are the same. Most OLED panels would be drastically different in weight difference than many conventional LCDs that are still being sold today. I am in the camp that likely wouldnt trust this product because although they may be lightweight, OLED will absolutely be obliterated from a light drop in the event of mount failure as suggested in the earthquake scenario above.

I've had something similar to this for 2 bedroom TVs (one 42in one 50in) for the last 7 years in Socal, they've been fine. Even had a few small earthquakes here and there.

Beyond the iffy no stud mount aspect-

this mount seems to have no safety locking mechanism at all. Many mount include some sort of wall piece and tv pieces that drop onto each other but there's usually at least a set screw to hold it in.
Without that, any upward bump could dislodge the two pieces. Doesn't need to be an earthquake - a kid, a ball, etc could bring this down.
There's a reason name brands (ie anyone who can be sued) don't make this type of stuff.

brand: KAMIWI
seller: "quality guarantee"
Business Name: jiangsuzhimengshangmaoyouxiangong.

I guess if you don't have kids or care about safety, If you want to gamble with the idea of a TV falling off the wall rather than hitting a stud. My bookshelf doesn't need to be mounted with a safety strap that's drilled into a stud, but i love my kids.

For a no drill solution it sure includes allot of screws. It must be held up with fairy farts.

It feels like an earthquake when my mother in law falls off the bed all the time so this would not be good for me
